Family Blessings

God has blessed me so abundantly with my new husband Rod's family. From the first time I ever met them they have been nothing but gracious and loving to me. Yesterday we celebrated Rod's two oldest Grand children's birthday's. What a joy it was to be included in their celebration. I felt so fortunate to be a part of this wonderful family and thank God for them.

Happy Birthday McKenna and Lexi, the party was great and thank you for inviting me. I had a blast!!!

My Daily Morning Walks

What a glorious day! The birds are singing, the sun is shinning, the soft breeze is blowing through the trees and the dew is glistening on the grass like a thousand sparkling diamonds. The flowers are blooming in their many brillant colors and the water is music to my ears as it ripples across the lake. As I walk, I ponder on all these things around me and wonder how so many people doubt there is a God? The sun raising in the east, and setting in the west. The sky so blue and vast dotted with the clouds which I have heard are the dust of God's feet as He passes by. The stars that so brightly shine at night and the yellow moon that sits perfectly in the sky. The grass that blankets the earth, the oceans that continually move with the tide. The mountains that tower in the distance with majesty. How could anyone not believe in a higher being? My heart is saddened as I watch cars go by, and no one seems to notice all that is around them. Their faces are without expression and some barely miss me with their cars as they pass. Today I would like everyone to pray for our country and world and for all of those people who seem to not have any hope beyond the moment. I can not even imagine a world without our Father. If your life seems without meaning or just starts to be dull and boring, just take a few minutes of your time for a walk. Look at everything around you. Enjoy the things that God has so richly blessed us with. Believe me, things will look different through your eyes if you let God bless you with all of his creation.

My Son Mikey with his daughter

Happy Birthday Mikey!!!

Today I will honor my oldest son in celebration of his 28th birthday. I still remember as if it were yesterday how the Lord blessed me with this precious little gift from heaven. It took awhile to get him here, oh but the blessing he has been to us! He weighed 8 pounds and 2 ounces and to me was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen. I always wanted a little boy as my first born because as a child I wished for a big brother. I had it all planned out that my little boy would come first and then a little girl. What a perfect family. However, those were my plans and not God's plans. Our Father has blessed me with two wonderful boys who I fell madly in love with from the first time I saw their little red faces and tiny little hands and feet. They were the joys of my life and to this day still are. Thank you Lord for Children, for they are truly a gift from above.

Mark 10:14 "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them for the kingdom of God belongs to such as thee."

Thank you Lord for allowing me the privilege to care for your children!!!

Psalms 46:10

This is my first post and I want to start it out with one of my favorite verses. Psalms 46:10 says "Be still and know that I am God." Oh how that verse has changed my life. We all have adversity in our lives that is sometimes hard to understand. However, I have learned that if you wait patiently on the Lord, be still and listen, He always showers blessings and answers upon us.

My friend Valerie has encouraged me to do this and I am looking so forward to hearing from my fellow sisters in Christ. I always try to read something that is spiritually inspiring and one of my favorite books is Beth Moore's "Praying God's Word". If you have not read this book I highly suggest it. It gives scripture and prayer together. I have found it is more enjoyable for me if I just do a page at a time and then read the verses from the bible as well. Then I pray the verses and have been so blessed by that pray time there are no words to discribe it. I am going to end my post today with one of my favorite quotes from Beth's book.

"Why does God allow us to spend so much of life in the heat of battle? Because He never meant for us to sip His Spirit like a proper cup of tea. He meant for us to hold our sweating heads over the fountain and lap up His life with unquenchable thirst."

God Bless you,

Bev
